The ANNKE C800 4K PoE Turret Camera 4-Pack is a camera bundle that records at 4K 8MP, sold with 4 cameras. It is best for 4-camera coverage of a home with wired, always-on recording and no monthly fee.
What it does well: no subscription needed to record, 4K 8MP detail, single-cable PoE power and data and person detection on the device. What to weigh up: a narrow 78° view.
At $339.99 on Amazon today, it has the highest price of the 3 camera bundles we track.
In the box: 4 cameras, with the recorder powering the cameras over Ethernet.
You will also want an Ethernet cable run to each camera position (check how much cable the kit includes against your longest run), a surveillance hard drive, because none is included and a UPS if you want it to keep recording through a power cut.
At $339.99 that works out to $85.00 per camera with the recorder included.
No. It records to a microSD card or a recorder with no monthly fee.
Smart detection works without a plan and live view on your phone away from home is free.
At 4K 8MP there is enough detail to zoom into a recording and still read a face or a number plate, which is what matters after an incident.
With a 78° horizontal view, it covers a strip about 49 ft wide at 30 ft from the camera. Using the IEC 62676-4 detail levels, a face is identifiable out to about 31 ft (9.5 m) and a person recognisable to about 62 ft. Beyond that it shows what happened but not who did it, so mount it within that distance of the spot that matters.
That narrow view is an advantage along a path, a gate or a driveway entrance, and a weakness across a wide yard.
It records at 15 frames per second, which is normal for security recording.
It can record in colour after dark by switching on its own spotlight, which also tends to move people on. Colour matters at night because clothing and car colours are often the details police ask for.
In full darkness it switches to infrared and records in black and white, with a stated range of 30 m (98 ft). Infrared bounces off glass, so do not mount it behind a window, and keep eaves and walls out of the edge of the frame.
Yes. It recognises people and vehicles on the camera itself, so detection keeps working when the internet is down. That is the difference between a few useful alerts a day and dozens set off by trees, shadows and headlights.
Activity zones let you draw the areas it watches, so the street or a neighbour's yard does not set it off.
It records sound through a built-in microphone.
Recording around the clock at 4K 8MP and 15 fps with H.265 uses about 63.3GB a day. Motion-only recording, at a typical 30% of the day, cuts that to about 19.0GB.
On the largest card it takes (512GB), that is about 8 days of continuous recording or 26 days of motion clips before the oldest footage is overwritten.
On a recorder, four of these cameras kept for 30 days need about 7.4TB, so a 10TB drive with headroom.
Use a high-endurance card made for constant writing; ordinary cards wear out within months in a camera. The SanDisk High Endurance 128GB microSDXC Card ($36.99) fits.
The calculator above works out the exact figure for your own camera count, settings and retention.
If the internet goes down it keeps recording locally and keeps detecting people; you will not get phone alerts or remote viewing until the connection returns, and the footage is there when it does.
In a power cut it stops unless the recorder or PoE switch powering it is on a battery backup. A UPS such as the APC Back-UPS 600VA BE600M1 ($83.99) keeps the recorder, switch and router running through short cuts.
It needs one Ethernet cable per camera, carrying power and data together (PoE), up to 100 m (328 ft) per run. The cable plugs into a recorder with PoE ports or a PoE switch such as the TP-Link TL-SG1008P 8-Port Gigabit Desktop Switch with 4-Port PoE+ ($40.53). There is no power socket needed at the camera and no Wi-Fi to drop out, which is why wired cameras are the most reliable choice.
It is rated IP67: dust-tight and able to survive temporary immersion, so driving rain and snow are not a problem. It is rated to work from -30°C to 60°C (-22°F to 140°F).
Annke says it records to Annke's own recorder or hub. A same-brand recorder keeps every feature, including smart alerts.
It offers an RTSP stream and ONVIF Profile S and T, so it can also feed software that accepts those, such as Blue Iris, Home Assistant or Synology Surveillance Station. Expect video and basic motion there; brand-specific smart alerts usually stay in Annke's app.
Our record for it lists no Alexa, Google Home or Apple Home support. If voice control or a smart display matters to you, check Annke's compatibility page first.
The Arlo Pro Security Camera 2K (6th Gen) 4-Camera Kit ($239.99) records at a lower 2K, runs on battery with no wiring and costs $100.00 less.
The Hiseeu 8MP 4K PoE Security Bullet Camera System with 8 Cameras and 2TB HDD ($445.99) sees wider at 108.6° and costs $106.00 more.
The aosu SolarCam D1 Classic 2K Solar PTZ 4-Cam Kit with aosuBase ($359.99) records at a lower 2K 3MP, runs on battery with no wiring and costs $20.00 more.
Each is listed with its live price and Security Fit in Alternatives above. If a narrow 78° view is a deal-breaker, the first of those is where to look.
We started tracking it on October 20, 2026 and it has held at $339.99. With under a week of checks we cannot yet say whether $339.99 is a good price; the price history above fills in as checks run every six hours.
Amazon prices change often; the price shown is from our latest check, and the button goes to the current listing.
It is the right buy for 4-camera coverage of a home with wired, always-on recording and no monthly fee, especially if you value no subscription needed to record and 4K 8MP detail.
Skip it if you cannot run cable between the cameras and the recorder, or if a narrow 78° view rules it out.
